We're really excited to be collaborating with Belgian Language organisation Roeland vzw and Suffolk-based Fisher Youth Theatre Group to bring a brand new course to the heart of Bungay.
This course will be an exchange project focused on using theatre to bring two nationalities together, and is open to teenagers from both sides of the Channel.
During 'On Stage @ The Fisher Theatre', the students will experience workshops and masterclasses from professional theatre practitioners including dancers and make up artists. The week will culminate in a public performance.
The course, which is designed for 13 – 18 year olds, will be based at the Fisher Theatre and is open to 20 Belgian students and 20 students local to the Fisher Theatre.
Hello Drama's Abbie is co-ordinating the week-long course: “We’re really excited about this project! It’s a one-way exchange programme with theatre, fun and making new friends at the heart of it!”
Last year Abbie met Laila and Darren France of the FYTG at ArtScene, an international student drama festival organised by Roeland vzw and based in Ghent, Belgium. Laila, the Fisher Theatre's manager said : “We had a fantastic experience and couldn’t wait to bring some of that magic back to the Fisher!”
The course, which runs 10am – 9:30pm every day from Sunday 2nd April to Friday 7th April, has just 10 places left, and is open to teenagers even if they are not FYTG members. The course will culminate in a performance on 6th Thursday, which will be open to the public. For more information, or to book a place on the course, please contact email@example.com
