After a year of teaching drama in China, our drama facilitator Abbie is back in the UK and already starting new projects!
We managed to catch up with her between her naps to sleep off the jet-lag!
What was Beijing like?
"Busy! No matter what time of day it was, there were always loads of people around. Oh and very technologically advanced. Want to pay for your meal? Want to check the smog level? Want to order food and have it delivered to your house all in under a fiver? There's an app for that!"
What was the strangest thing you ate?
"Jellyfish? Or maybe pig's ear... I drew the line at duck's brain and chicken's feet though and am now considering becoming vegetarian..."
Can you speak any Chinese?
What will you miss?
"The people! The friends I made through work, Beijing Improv and my adventures around China."
What's it like being back in the UK?
"Do you know what? I have never appreciated clean air and greenery as much as I do now! We are so lucky in the UK that we can go outside without needing to wear a mask."
What are your plans for the next few months?
"I can't say too much... but workshops in East Anglia, London, Belgium and maybe somewhere else! I have a few slots left for workshops this year, but they are disappearing quickly!"
