Teacher Workshop: How To Make Shakespeare Fun

Abbie Moore, director of UK-based theatre workshop company Hello Drama, is inviting teachers from Ghent to join her drama workshop: How to Make Shakespeare Fun.

Teaching Shakespeare to young people can be one of the most difficult challenges. It’s easy to forget that Shakespeare’s plays were not made to be read, but to be performed.

This workshop will provide teachers with a collection of games, exercises and tools to use with their students to help bring the Bard’s stories and texts to life.

Abbie has delivered workshops for organisations including JongDOEK and the world’s largest youth drama festival (Shakespeare Schools Festival), as well as guest speaking at Shakespearia Student Theatre Festival in Russia.

She is always asked about top tips for understanding and performing Shakespeare, so she’s put all of her favourite exercises into one workshop on Friday 18th October 2019.

Timings: 18h00 - 20h00

Price: €10 for teachers / €20 for adults of any other profession
