At Hello Drama, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

Hello Drama is the trading name for sole-trader Abigail Moore. Hello Drama holds personal data for freelance contractors, schools, teachers, workshop organisers and workshop participants. Hello Drama will only use the information collected about you in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.

This policy explains why and how Hello Drama collects information about you, how it is stored and how it is used.

Definition of Personal Data

Personal data is any information that is relating to an identifiable person who can be identified directly or indirectly. This includes for example, name, address, email and location data. The GDPR applies to both automated personal data and to manual filing systems.

Collection of Information

 

When you contact Hello Drama, enquire about workshops, supply information via Hello Drama’s website, phone, email, social media, word of mouth or post, elements of your personal information may be retained.

Hello Drama or our freelance contractors may also collect data for evaluation purposes after your participation in or organisation of, one of our workshops.

Hello Drama may obtain information about your organisation from other parties who have released data into the public domain.

To make a purchase on our online shop (available on the Hello Drama website), your payment details are used by the payment services provider who processes your transaction and provides Hello Drama with your contact details and delivery and billing addresses as needed.  If you contact Hello Drama with regard to your transaction, a record of that correspondence may also be kept.

Hello Drama does not purchase data on individuals or organisations for unsolicited marketing or any other purpose.

Use of Your Information

 

By using the Hello Drama website, participating in Hello Drama workshops, purchasing from Hello Drama, or contacting Hello Drama via any other means, you agree that your personal information may be collected, stored and used by Hello Drama, for any of the following purposes:

• to fulfil contractual agreements for organising and/ or participating in workshops

• to send you details of our other products and services which we think may interest you if you consented to this. See “Your Rights” below to find how to opt out if you have already opted in

• to allow you to use the full range of applicable resources on our website

• to send you event notifications and updates if you consented to this

• to comply with legal and regulatory requirements

• to contact you in order to evaluate our work

 

Storage of Information

All information collected is stored on password protected software and transferred using Gmail which uses TLS encryption. Paper documentation is stored securely in locked filing cabinets and is kept for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is collected.

 

Access to electronic and paper records are restricted to Abigail Moore except when the provision of some of this data to a freelance contractor is absolutely necessary to organise and/ or deliver your workshops. If this is necessary, the freelance contracter(s) in question will not be provided with any information until they have agreed to a statement of confidentiality. 

 

Under 18’s

 

The wellbeing and safeguarding of under 18’s is of utmost priority.

Hello Drama always obtains consent from relevant adults for:

​

• audio visual media taken at any of our workshops involving participants under 18 years

• qualitative evaluation

• quotes and cases studies

 

Quantitative data for workshop evaluation is always anonymised after processing.

The Hello Drama website is directed at qualified teachers and language instructors over the age of 18. Hello Drama does not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from persons under 18 years of age on our website. Appropriate steps will be taken to delete any personal information of persons less than 18 years of age held without consent.

Hello Drama does not directly market to children nor does it knowingly collect children’s data.

Persons under 18 have the same rights as adults in regards to their personal data. These include the rights to access their personal data; request rectification; object to processing and have their personal data erased and their right to erasure is particularly relevant if consent was given on their behalf when they were under 18.

 

Legal Basis for Processing Your Information

The legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above will depend on the personal information concerned and the specific context in which Hello Drama collects it.

Hello Drama will normally collect personal information from you only:
