Hello Drama's Safeguarding Policy

Updated: July 2020

Staff working as Hello Drama and freelancers contracted by Hello Drama are not directly responsible for the protection of children attending workshops or other events run by Hello Drama. The protection of any children participating in workshops that Hello Drama organises with schools/organisations is solely the responsibility of the schools/ organisations.

Hello Drama will ensure the following guidelines are in place:

  • All Lead Facilitators have been subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosures and Barring Service (UK Government) which deems them suitable to work with children.

  • In order to protect workshop staff and participants, teachers are informed upon booking that they must not leave students alone with Hello Drama staff or its contractors

  • Anyone who attends a workshop as a Co-Facilitator, Workshop Assistant or Workshop Coordinator will never be left alone (without another responsible adult) with anyone under 18 years old

  • Students will not be photographed / filmed without the relevant adult's permission

  • Students have the same rights as adults in terms of the information held about them - see Privacy Policy for more details

  • All staff attending workshops will be provided with, and have agreed to, Hello Drama's Child Protection Guidelines

"Whether you want to focus on building trust, bringing energy into a group or reviewing vocab, Hello Drama's got a drama game for you." - Mvr Ermens
