Crime Scene Investigation - Escape Room Style
Workshop Focus: Communication / Teamwork / English Practice
60 mins via Zoom
There's no denying that 2020 was been a weird year. We've been working our socks off to make sure we can provide an opportunity for students to continue to practise English in a creative way.
So here it is... Escape room meets crime scene.
There's been a murder in the basement of a London pharmacy. The detective is counting on your class to help them catch the criminal. With clues scattered all over the basement and files given to students in the classroom, does your class have what it takes to solve the puzzles before time is up?
This is a 60-minute workshop in which a British facilitator, in character as a detective, works with students to solve puzzles and find clues in a pharmacy basement. The workshop takes place on Zoom, with the class of secondary school students using one computer and the facilitator using another.
Students will be encouraged to speak in English, as this is the only way they will be able to communicate with the detective. The main aim for the workshops is to give students the opportunity and confidence boost to practise their English whilst having fun.
